In this Activity Guide, We will walk you through the steps to navigate to Cloud Shell and make a Free Storage Account on Microsoft Azure through it.

III. Managing and Deploying Virtual Machines & Scale Sets Walkthrough

Create and deploy virtual machines in Azure using the Azure portal and PowerShell. The course includes instruction on deploying custom images and Linux virtual machines. Configuring the networking and storage components of virtual machines.

Virtual Machine Scale Sets integrates with Azure networking resources such as Azure Load Balancer. Using this, you can quickly spread your workloads across the virtual machines in your Virtual Machine Scale Set.

In this Activity Guide, We will walk you through the steps to browse through the Azure Portal and Create & Deploy Virtual Machine on Microsoft Azure through it.

IV. Implementing and Managing Azure Storage Walkthrough

Firstly, we will learn to create and to configure storage accounts, configuring Azure file shares, and implementing Azure backups. Also, importing and exporting data to Azure. Furthermore, we will learn how to set an Azure content delivery network and restore Azure virtual machines, files, and folders in the event of failure.

Also, you’ll learn to configure Azure DNS to resolve hostnames in your public domain.

VII. Virtual Network Peering and Service Chaining Walkthrough

Virtual network peering enables you to connect networks in Azure Virtual Network seamlessly. The virtual networks appear as one for connectivity purposes. Service chaining allows you to direct traffic from one virtual network to a virtual appliance or gateway in a peered network through user-defined routes.

VIII. Load Balancer and Traffic Manager Walkthrough

The job of Azure Load Balancer is to direct traffic inside a region. This is combined with Azure Traffic Manager. The traffic manager routes interior to a region between virtual machines.  If you combine the two, you get global traffic management combined with local failover.

IX. Network Watcher Walkthrough

Network Watcher provides you with the ability to diagnose your most common VPN Gateway and Connections issues. Allowing you, not only, to identify the problem but also to use the detailed logs created to help further investigate. Monitor and diagnose networking issues without logging in to your virtual machines (VMs) using Network Watcher.

X. Azure Site Recovery between Regions Walkthrough

Azure Site Recovery will support the failover of virtual machines running on the Azure IaaS platform. Enabling replication and disaster recovery from on-premises to Azure is now available from one Azure region to another. You will be able to create recovery plans and test failovers between regions. Furthermore, no need to deploy additional software or appliances to existing subscriptions with Site Recovery.
